PAC Spotlight
The August PAC Spotlight shines on HCSPAC’s own Kathy Zseger
What do you do for a living? I am the PAC Secretary. I handle most scheduling and dabble in design. I am also the Front of House Manager and oversee our volunteer base.
What have you seen at the PAC? I’ve enjoyed every production since the 2023 Nutcracker through the 2026 Youth Theatre staging of Shrek The Musical, and I look forward to many future performances!
What have you participated in at the PAC? Typically, I participate by performing various behind the scenes tasks at The PAC (a.k.a. office work!). Being a puppeteer for Baby Audrey II will be my first on-stage appearance.
What have been your most rewarding PAC experiences? This is a difficult question to answer because there are so many to choose from. I am fortunate enough to work with an incredible team of people and an amazing group of volunteers who have become a part of my family, as well as very enthusiastic PAC Aides and all the HCS students who perform on our stage, all of which is already extremely rewarding. But I think the most rewarding would have to be when we put on or host any event in our space. I love when we are able to help the performance group get ready for their event. I love opening our doors to the audiences and welcoming them, and knowing that the time they spend in our space can help create lasting memories for everyone involved. I love seeing the audiences smiling and laughing after an event and hearing the excitement of the participants backstage after pulling off a great performance!
How have you benefited from the PAC? The PAC has helped me grow both professionally and personally in the short amount of time I have been here. It’s helped me rediscover my creativity and has given me the confidence to push myself and try new things.
Why should the PAC be important to others? The PAC is a place where you can find joy and community, whether you are a performer, an audience member, a volunteer or a student helper. It’s a place where you can come in and tune out whatever may be going on outside our space and get lost in the magic of theatre!
