On August 1st, rehearsals for The PAC ProAm Production of Little Shop of Horrors continued. By the end of August, the cast and crew of 20 will have logged 22 days and almost 70 total hours of rehearsal time. Their hard work continues into September in preparation for 7 upcoming performances of this campy musical.

On August 10th, 14 dedicated PAC volunteers applied address labels to nearly 10,000 Season Postcards, which were mailed to Hardin County residents, and over 160 neighboring cities. The volunteers worked hard and finished the task in a record 2.5 hours, and were treated to a lunch afterwards. The PAC Staff extends a heartfelt thank you to all involved for volunteering their time and effort to help promote the 2026-2027 PAC Season Events to our community.

On July 1-8, 54 local students (39 HCS students, 15 non-HCS students) participated in final rehearsals with The Youth Theatre of Hardin County in preparation for the upcoming summer production of Shrek the Musical.

On July 9-12, The Youth Theatre of Hardin County presented three public performances of Shrek the Musical and one parent preview for a combined audience of 1,281.

On July 12-13, the PAC held open auditions for the upcoming PAC ProAm performance of The Importance of Being Earnest, opening in January 2027. Overall, 26 hopeful actors auditioned, four of whom were students (3 HCS and 1 non-HCS).

On July 16, The Youth Theatre of Hardin County held a brush-up rehearsal for its 54 students (39 HCS students, 15 non-HCS students) to prepare for their weekend performances. Four of those students also participated in the KY State Fair Talent Show Preliminary.

On July 17-19, The Youth Theatre of Hardin County finished its seven-day run with an additional three public performances of Shrek the Musical, bringing the total audience to 1,163. Overall, the production drew a total audience of 2,444.

On July 21, the PAC conducted its annual Volunteer Orientation. A total of 25 new and returning volunteers were in attendance, excited to start the 2026-2027 season!

From July 20-31, the PAC production team held various rehearsals for the cast and crew (consisting of a total of 19 adults) for the upcoming PAC ProAm production of Little Shop of Horrors, opening in September.

On July 29, JHHS hosted its Freshman Orientation, welcoming the new freshman class and their families to campus, with an attendance of 494.
