On April 7 – 10th, The PAC, in partnership with Kentucky Shakespeare, presented four nights of their Page to Stage workshop with a total of 38 participants and a combined audience of 67.

On April 11th, Kentucky Shakespeare held two school-day presentations of Macbeth for a total of 142 students (41 HCS students and 101 non-HCS students), along with an evening performance for a public audience of 94.

On April 14th, Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) held open auditions for 79 elementary and middle school students, including 47 HCS students and 32 non-HCS students. Of those, 37 HCS students and 28 non-HCS students were cast in MCT’s production of Hercules.

On April 14th – 17th, MCT hosted four nights of rehearsals in preparation for three weekend performances.

On April 18th – 19th, The Hercules cast of 65 students performed one school-day show for an audience of 402 HCS students and 98 non-HCS students, and two evening performances for a public audience of 551—bringing the total audience to 1,051.

On April 21st – 23rd, Forty-seven students from The Lawson School of Music (45 HCS, 2 non-HCS) held rehearsals for their upcoming performances of Alice in Wonderland.

On April 24th – 25th, Alice in Wonderland had two school-day performances for a total audience of 348 HCS students and 136 non-HCS students.

On April 24th, The Lawson School of Music performed Alice in Wonderland for a public audience of 361, bringing the total audience to 847.

On April 25th – 26th, Youth Theatre of Hardin County held open auditions for their upcoming production of Footloose. A total of 34 HCS students and 20 non-HCS students auditioned and were cast. The production is scheduled for July.

On April 29th,  The Hardin County Schools Gifted & Talented Program hosted a Dance Intensive Workshop for 25 HCS students.

On April 29th, Hardin County Schools held their annual Volunteer Banquet to celebrate district-wide volunteers. A total of 105 volunteers and their guests attended the event.

On April 30th, East Hardin Middle School’s 180 band students performed a concert for an audience of 600.

On March 1st, 47 drama students from John Hardin High School performed a matinee and an evening show of Mamma Mia for public audiences of 177 and 261, respectively, for a total audience of 438.

On March 3rd, two school shows of Mamma Mia were presented to HCS audiences of 358 and 450, bringing the total audience for the run to 1,557.

On March 7th, 25 students from Central Hardin High School Drama presented The Bully Plays for a school audience of 55 (50 HCS students and 5 non-HCS students), followed by a public performance for an audience of 57.

On March 8th, CHHS Drama held a second public performance of The Bully Plays for 70 audience members, bringing the total audience for all performances to 182.

On March 8th, 28 HCS students and 16 non-HCS students participated in the Youth Theater of Hardin County’s March Workshop.

On March 10th, 100 students from Vine Grove Elementary rehearsed for Willy Wonka Jr. That evening, the Family Night performance drew an audience of 458.

On March 11th, a school show of VGE’s Willy Wonka Jr. was held for an audience of 378, bringing the total audience for Willy Wonka Jr. to 836.

On March 11th, 16 writers and actors took part in the Kentucky Shakespeare Page to Stage Playwriting Workshop.

On March 12th, John Hardin High School’s band held a rehearsal for its 49 students.

On March 12th, 60 students from Bluegrass Middle School held band rehearsals.

On March 12th, a combined band concert featuring 130 students from North Hardin High School and 60 from North Middle School (totaling 190 students) was presented to an audience of 278.

On March 12th, 2 HCS students and 13 adults (15 participants total) took part in the Page to Stage Directing Workshop.

On March 13th, 46 students from J.T. Alton Middle School held a band rehearsal.

On March 13th, a combined band concert featuring 35 students from West Hardin Middle School and 100 students from Central Hardin High School was presented to an audience of 385.

On March 18th through March 22nd, 24 HCS students and 27 non-HCS students from Allegro Dance Theater presented nine performances of The Wizard of Oz, with a total audience of 3,817 (1,690 HCS, 1,335 non-HCS, and 792 public attendees).

On March 24th, 40 students from John Hardin High School participated in band practice.

On March 24th, KMEA Day 1 featured five bands participating in the Kentucky Music Educators Association Adjudication: one HCS band with 40 students, and four non-HCS bands with 162 students, performing for an audience of 125.

On March 25th, KMEA Day 2 included 20 middle and high school bands: five HCS bands with 292 students, and 15 non-HCS bands with 741 students, performing for an audience of 899.

On March 26th, KMEA Day 3 featured 16 bands: five HCS bands with 278 students, and 11 non-HCS bands with 436 students, performing for an audience of 908. Overall, KMEA brought in 41 schools (12 HCS and 29 non-HCS), 2,001 band students (662 HCS and 1,339 non-HCS), and a total three-day audience of 1,932.

On March 27th, the Heartland Winds Adult Community Band, with 61 adult musicians, performed for an audience of 291.

On February 3rd, the 88 members of the North Hardin High School Chorus performed Dancin’ Through The Decades for an audience of 300.

On February 9th, the 18 students from the North Hardin High School Drama Club presented Goldilocks on Trial to an audience of 61.

On February 12th, 2 HCS students and 15 adults participated in the Kentucky Shakespeare Page to Stage Directing Workshop.

On February 13th, the 94 students from CKA Dance Academy, along with 18 non-HCS students, performed Let The Music Move You to an audience of 395.

On February 18th, three HCS students and 14 adults took part in the Kentucky Shakespeare Page to Stage Playwriting Workshop.

On February 22nd and 23rd, the 24 members of the North Hardin High School Choir presented Into The Woods, Jr.” with audiences of 130 on the 22nd and 134 on the 23rd, totaling 264 attendees.

On February 28th, the John Hardin High School Drama Club performed for an audience of 311 with 47 HCS student participants, and additional performances are set for March.

From January 24th to 27th, after 20 days and 59 rehearsal hours, the cast and crew of PAC’s ProAm production of The Play That Goes Wrong (featuring 16 adults and 1 HCS student) presented 3 public performances and 1 school performance to a total audience of 1,006.

On January 30th, 26 HCS performers and 9 non-HCS performers from Studio One Eleven Dance Studio held a recital for an audience of 253.

On December 5th, the 107 members of the WHMS Band held a Winter Concert for an audience of 448.

On December 8th, the Heart of Kentucky Chorus, composed of 45 adult choir members and one HCS student, performed for 323 attendees.

On December 10th, the 43 students in the JHHS Symphonic Band and 40 students in the JHHS Concert Choir collaborated for a Winter Performance before 250 audience members.

On December 11th, the 75 students of St. James Catholic School performed a Christmas play to an audience of 375.

On December 12th, the 67 adult members of the Heartland Winds Community Band held a Christmas concert for 381 attendees.

On December 15th, 75 students from Center Stage Dance Studio (45 HCS students and 30 non-HCS students) performed a Christmas recital to an audience of 460.

From December 20th to 22nd, the PAC, alongside 44 HCS students and 41 non-HCS students from the Dance Center of Elizabethtown, presented The Nutcracker for a student audience of 148 and a total public audience of 1,988.

On November 7-8, Baptist Hardin Health held 3 School Performances and one Public Event of their Overdose Simulation and Awareness Event to an audience of 1,030 HCS students, 370 non-HCS students, and 22 public audience members, bringing awareness to a total of 1,422 adults and students in the community.

On November 14-17, North Hardin High School Chorus held 2 School Performances of Disney’s The Little Mermaid to an audience of 1,135 HCS students, 96 non-HCS students, and 2 public performances to audiences of 550 and 453, bringing the total audience size to 2,234.

On November 18, 5 students in the North Hardin Drama Club and their 2 teachers were guided on a backstage tour of the PAC Theater.

On November 19, The Central Hardin High School Band consisting of 94 HCS students held their Band Concert to an audience of 450.

On November 23-26, Allegro held Cinderella the Ballet with 3 school performances to an audience of 294 HCS students and 246 non-HCS students, and 2 public performances to audiences of 645, bringing the total audience size to 1,185.

On October 3rd, the Hardin County Schools Gifted and Talented Program hosted a Kentucky Shakespeare Workshop for 30 HCS students.

On October 19th, the Heartland Songwriters Association held an Original Songwriters Showcase featuring 15 performers for a public audience of 29.

On October 21st through the 26th, the CHHS Drama Club and Hardin County Playhouse collaborated for three nights of rehearsals in preparation for Carrie: The Musical. The cast, which included 27 HCS students and 7 adults, presented three performances to a total audience of 241 HCS students, 4 non-HCS students, and 294 members of the public.

On October 28th, 18 JHHS drama students performed the short play Second Samuel for a public audience of 93.

On October 29th, 28 JHHS choir students and 50 JHHS band members held a collaborative concert attended by 204 audience members.

SEPTEMBER 2024

On September 19th, the cast and crew, consisting of 14 HCS students, 8 Non-HCS students, and 24 adults, held a Friends & Family Preview Night of Mary Poppins in front of an audience of 87 attendees.

On September 20th to 22nd and September 27th to 29th, the PAC, in partnership with Abound Credit Union, presented its season opener, the fall Pro-Am Mary Poppins, featuring one school day performance, two free performances for event partner Abound Credit Union’s members, and four public performances.
In attendance were: 250 HCS students, 260 non-HCS students, 650 Abound Credit Union members, and 1,385 public audience.

On August 1st, the John Hardin High School “Back to School Bash” Freshman Orientation was held with Ms. Kim Case and Principal Mark Wells sharing important information with an audience of 294 freshmen and family members.

On August 2nd, rehearsals for The PAC ProAm Production of Mary Poppins kicked off, featuring a talented ensemble of 19 student actors (11 from HCS and 8 from outside HCS), along with 13 adult cast members and a production team consisting of 5 adults. By the end of August, the cast and crew will have completed 22 days and 59 hours of rehearsal. They will continue rehearsing into September, leading up to 7 performances of this beloved musical.

On August 6th, 14 dedicated PAC volunteers spent 3 hours applying address labels to nearly 10,000 Season Postcards, which were mailed to Hardin County residents and over 160 neighboring cities. The PAC Staff extends a heartfelt thank you to Karen Benham, Sandy Bousum, Mary Cooney, Jerry Cormier, Diane Hafer, Rosetta LaFollette, Hazel Lowther, Betty Kirby, Olivia Kizinkiewicz, Michael Radford, Joe Rapoley, Nuala Rohrer, Cindy VanAusdell, and Krystal Zseger for volunteering their time and effort to help promote the 2024-2025 PAC Season Events to our community.

  • On July 1st through July 10th, the 53 student performers (35 HCS Students and 18 Non-HCS Students) of Youth Theatre of Hardin County held nightly rehearsals in preparation for their summer performance of Matilda, for a combined total of over 30 rehearsal hours in the month of July.
  • On July 11th-14th, the 53 student performers with Youth Theatre of Hardin County presented 4 performances of Matilda to a total combined audience of 947.
  • On July 18th, 16 area youth performers (11 HCS Students and 5 Non-HCS Students) showcased their talents in front of 3 Kentucky State Fair judges and 36 audience members in hopes of making it to the 2024 Kentucky State Fair Talent Classic. The winners included the Matilda ensemble (which consisted of all 16 performers) and 2 HCS Student soloists.
  • On July 19th-21st, the 53 students of Youth Theatre of Hardin County wrapped up their summer series of Matilda with 3 days of performances to a combined weekend audience of 1,054.  In all, the entire series of 7 performances brought in a combined total of 2,001 attendees.
