On January 10th, 29 HCS students and 14 Non-HCS students joined Youth Theatre of Hardin County for the first of three winter workshops.

On January 13th, 14th, & 15th, The PAC, in collaboration with Kentucky Shakespeare, held their first of three Page to Stage Workshops in Directing, Auditioning and Playwriting. Overall, the workshops brought in a total of 10 participants (9 HCS Students).

On January 22nd the cast of The 39 Steps performed a final dress rehearsal for an audience consisting of 27 friends and family.

On January 23rd, January 31st and February 1st, after 24 days and 72 rehearsal hours, the cast and crew of PAC’s ProAm production of The 39 Steps (featuring 8 adults and 1 HCS student) presented 3 performances to a total audience of 329.

On December 1st, 12 PAC Volunteers and 4 PAC Aides helped usher in the holiday spirit during the annual “Deck the PAC” event. Volunteers and PAC Aides decorated both the inside and outside of the theatre with festive flair, then gathered on stage to enjoy lunch and celebrate the season together.

On December 1st, BGMS held two concerts in one night. The 90 sixth-grade band members kicked off the first concert for an audience of 317, with the 85 seventh and eighth grade performers wrapping up the night for an audience of 300.

On December 2nd, the Lawson School of Music presented their Holiday Concert with 72 performers on stage (56 HCS, 16 non-HCS) for an audience of 266.

On December 3rd, the CHHS Band, consisting of 120 students, held a holiday-themed concert for an audience of 426.

On December 4th, the 116 members of the WHMS Band held a Winter Concert for an audience of 512.

On December 5th, the Heart of Kentucky Chorus, composed of 45 adult choir members, rehearsed in preparation for their Christmas-themed concert.

On December 6th, the Heart of Kentucky Chorus performed their Christmas-themed concert for an audience of 274.

On December 8th, 47 BGMS Band students rehearsed on stage in preparation for their upcoming KMEA assessment to be held later in December.

On December 8th, 127 NHHS band students held a Holiday Concert for an audience of 407.

On December 9th, after a day of rehearsals, the 50 students in the JHHS Symphonic Band and 24 students in the JHHS Concert Choir collaborated for a Winter Performance for an audience of 273.

On December 10th, the 81 students of St. James Catholic School completed rehearsals during the day, before performing their Christmas play that evening for an audience of 419.

On December 11th, the 66 adult members of the Heartland Winds Community Band held a Christmas concert for an audience of 315.

On December 12th, Center Stage Dance Studio held a rehearsal for their 68 students (36 HCS students and 32 non-HCS students) in preparation for their upcoming Winter Recital.

On December 14th, 68 students from Center Stage Dance Studio (36 HCS students and 32 non-HCS students) performed a Winter Recital for an audience of 444.

On December 15th–17th, The Dance Centre students (40 HCS and 33 non-HCS) held three days of rehearsal in preparation for their upcoming Nutcracker Ballet performances.

On December 18th, The Dance Centre students held their final dress rehearsal for an audience consisting of 30 friends and family members.

On December 18th, The Dance Centre students performed The Nutcracker Ballet for a school-time audience of 454 HCS students and 185 non-HCS students.

On December 19th through 21st, the PAC, alongside 40 HCS students and 33 non-HCS students from the Dance Center of Elizabethtown, presented The Nutcracker for a total weekend audience of 1,708.

On December 28th, 70+ friends, family, volunteers, former cast members, and community members joined current and past PAC staff as we bid a fond farewell to PAC Director Bart Lovins, who stepped off our stage one final time. We are deeply grateful for Bart’s years of dedication, leadership, and lasting impact on the PAC, and we thank him for the countless memories and moments he helped bring to life.

On November 5th-7th, Baptist Hardin Health held 3 School Performances and one Public Event of their Overdose Simulation and Awareness Event to an audience of 1,163 HCS students, 191 non-HCS students, and 55 public audience members, bringing awareness to a total of 1,409 adults and students in the community.

On November 13th-16th, North Hardin High School Chorus held 4 School Performances of Elf the Musical Jr. to an audience of 2,559 HCS students, 185 non-HCS students, and 2 public performances to audiences of 495 and 488, bringing the total audience size to 3,727.

On November 18th, The 44 students of the Hardin County School Orchestra Program held their inaugural concert and “informance” to an audience of 225.

On November 19th, the 23 students (14 HCS & 9 Non HCS) of Center Stage Dance Studio held a rehearsal in preparation for their upcoming Christmas Gala to be held in December.

On November 22nd-25th, Allegro held Cinderella the Ballet with 4 school performances to an audience of 742 HCS students and 498 non-HCS students, and 2 public performances to audiences of 607, bringing the total audience size to 1,847.

October 2025

On October 2nd, the Hardin County Schools Gifted and Talented Program hosted a Drama Workshop for 30 HCS students.

On October 13th, Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) held open auditions for 63 elementary and middle school students, including 36 HCS students and 27 non-HCS students. Of those, 31 HCS students and 22 non-HCS students were cast in MCT’s production of The Tortoise and The Hare.

From October 13th to 16th, MCT conducted four evenings of rehearsals in preparation for three weekend performances.

On October 17th and 18th, the Tortoise and The Hare cast of 63 students performed one school-day show for an audience of 260 HCS students and 178 non-HCS students, along with two evening performances for a public audience of 322, bringing the total audience to 760.

From October 21st to 25th, the CHHS Drama Club held three nights of rehearsals for their production of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein: A Modern Prometheus. The cast, which included 26 HCS students, presented three performances to a total audience of 400 HCS students, 9 non-HCS students, and 213 members of the public, for a combined audience of 622.

On October 27th, following three rehearsals, 35 JHHS drama students presented their production of The Crucible for a public audience of 200.

On October 28th, the 50 members of the JHHS Band held their Fall Concert for an audience of 160.

On October 30th, 47 JHHS Drama, Choir and Art students held a Fine Arts Night – a night of singing, dancing, drama, and art –  for an audience of 79.

September 2025

On September 18th, the cast and crew, consisting of 9 HCS students, 3 Non-HCS students, and 31 adults, held a Friends & Family Preview Night of Ragtime in front of an audience of 60 attendees.

On September 19 – 21 and 26 – 28, The PAC, in partnership with Abound Credit Union, kicked off its season with the fall Pro-Am Ragtime. The production included two complimentary performances exclusively for Abound Credit Union members, along with four public showings. Over the course of the six-day run, Ragtime welcomed a total audience of 1,161 attendees.

On August 3rd, rehearsals for The PAC ProAm Production of Ragtime officially kicked off, bringing together a cast of 7 student actors (4 from HCS and 3 from outside the district) alongside 26 adult performers and a dedicated production team of 9 adults. By the end of August, the cast and crew will have logged 20 days and 120 hours of rehearsal. Their hard work continues into September in preparation for 7 upcoming performances of this powerful musical.

On August 13th & 14th, 9 dedicated PAC volunteers and 3 PAC Aides spent a total of 5 hours applying address labels to nearly 10,000 Season Postcards, which were mailed to Hardin County residents and over 160 neighboring cities. The PAC Staff extends a heartfelt thank you to all all involved for volunteering their time and effort to help promote the 2025-2026 PAC Season Events to our community.

On July 1st–9th, 51 local students (37 from HCS, 14 from non-HCS schools) participated in final rehearsals with the Youth Theatre of Hardin County in preparation for the upcoming summer production of Footloose.

On July 10th–20th, the Youth Theatre of Hardin County presented 7 performances of Footloose, drawing a combined audience of 2,070 attendees.

On July 26th, the PAC conducted its annual Volunteer Orientation. A total of 25 new and returning volunteers attended, ready to begin the 2025–2026 season and ensure a memorable experience for PAC patrons.

On July 31st, JHHS hosted its Freshman Orientation, welcoming 425 freshmen and their families to campus.
