On April 3, the PAC presented 2 performances of Missoula Children’s Theatre’s THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES. Due to the pandemic, there was no open audition. 26 pre-registered students, 20 from 7 HCS elementary and 2 HCS middle schools, and 6 students from Hart, Larue, and Meade County and home schools participated. In-person audiences totaled 184 and 16 households from Kentucky, Indiana, and as far away as Canada and New Zealand watched the Livestreamed performances.

The Glen Rice Family & Friends Concert Series event scheduled for April 23 is postponed until July 30 in the hope that social distancing restriction will be lifted to allow for larger in-person audiences.

On April 12 -18, the PAC offered On-Demand viewing of Kentucky Shakespeare’s ROMEO & JULIET performances to the public and HCS teachers/students. There were no in-person performances at the PAC of this production as Kentucky Shakespeare was not touring.

On April 12 and 13, Abby Lentz, HCS Gifted & Talented Instructor, hosted a Musical Theatre and Dance Intensive for 39 HCS students under the direction of Professor Susie Thiel of the University of Kentucky.

Youth Theatre of Hardin County held auditions for their summer production of THE ADDAMS FAMILY. 41 area youth auditioned, 29 from HCS, 12 from Non-HCS schools.  All three HCS high schools and 4 middle schools are represented in the cast, as well as students from Ft. Knox, St James, TK Stone, Elizabethtown High School, and home schools.
