HCS Event: JHHS Drama – The Diviners by Jim Leonard Jr.

John Hardin High School Drama Presents: The Diviners by Jim Leonard Jr.
Set in rural Indiana during the 1930s, The Diviners follows C.C. Showers, a former preacher searching for a new beginning, and Buddy Layman, a young man whose extraordinary abilities make him both loved and misunderstood by his community. Their unexpected friendship changes both of their lives and challenges the people of Zion to consider what it means to have faith, to accept others, and to find hope in difficult times. Throughout the play, audiences will encounter themes of faith, friendship, acceptance, grief, community, and hope. The Diviners reminds us that everyone is searching for something—answers, belonging, healing, or simply someone who will truly see them.
