Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest is a farcical comedy about two young men, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff. To escape societal obligations and romance the women they love, both men adopt the alias “Ernest.” Their deceptions unravel into hilarious chaos before resolving with surprise revelations about their true identities.
