Central Hardin High School Drama Club – As You Like It
A Musical Adaptation of William Shakespeare’s AS YOU LIKE IT Adapted by Shaina Taub and Laurie Woolery Music and Lyrics by Shaina Taub Taub (creator of the Tony Award-winning musical Suffs) and Woolery (Director of Public Works at The Public Theater) bring us into the welcoming Forest of Arden in an accessible way to experience Shakespeare’s comedy. With a multigenerational cast including guests from our extended Bruin family and a live band, this musical blends Shakepeare’s original language with fun, contemporary folk-pop songs. One of the many girl-disguised-as-a-boy Shakepearean stories, As You Like It is modernized here to include more female characters and diverse relationships among the happy-ending weddings.
