Allegro Dance Theatre is located in Radcliff and performs their spring recital at the PAC annually as well as a holiday production of the ballet, Cinderella each year. Allegro is the only dance studio that also offers a musical theatre class for acting and singing.

This renovated movie house is now host to not only classic movies but live concerts, comedy shows, theatrical productions and more.

The Lawson School of Music has opened its doors near downtown Elizabethbethown, KY. At the helm is owner/instructor, Heather Heim Lawson who’s goal is to further the arts in Hardin County for citizens of all ages and skill levels. Mrs. Lawson holds both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Music and studied for a time in NYC. Heather is passionate about performance having performed with the KY Opera, BGOnstage, and the Stephen Foster Drama Association and is equally as passionate about the promotion of arts and education in our Community.  The Lawson School of Music offers voice, piano, musical theatre, guitar, ukulele, Kindermusik and songwriting. Kindermusik is a transformative musical and developmental experience for both child and caregiver. Each class utilizes foreign language, movement, instrument play, and so much more to help babies and children develop fully. All classes are small in size and age specific so that each family feels they are receiving hands on, VIP treatment. Missoula Children’s Theatre comes to the PAC every January and August for a weeklong residency. Auditions are open to any student 1st-8th grade. Please sign up for the PAC email list in order to be notified of upcoming auditions.

Established in 1972, Center Stage offers Ballet, Pointe, Tap and Jazz. Children’s classes begin at age three and continue through our advanced level adult classes. Center Stage frequently performs in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Disney World and the Capital One Bowl. Students are eligible to audition for summer classes with the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters (CNADM) and Joffery Ballet annually. All full time faculty members have considerable professional dance experience including owner, Yvonne Groves who also serves on the CNADM board.

Hardin County Playhouse has an acting camp every summer. They also frequently use students in their productions so check about upcoming opportunities.

Established in 1994, the Heartland Dulcimer Club meets at 6:30PM, the second and fourth Monday of every month (barring inclement weather or holidays) at OUR PLACE, 790 N. Dixie Ave., Elizabethtown, KY. As a non-profit organization, the club is a gathering for those who enjoy listening to and playing folk music. The sounds of traditional instruments of American folk music including but not limited to mountain and hammered dulcimers, guitar, mandolin, banjo, autoharp, psaltry, fiddle, Irish harp, penny whistle, and Appalachian percussion can be heard at community events, nursing homes/assisted living facilities, annual festival, and places of worship. Dance Centre of Elizabethtown performs their spring recital at the PAC and co-produces the PAC’s annual presentation of The Nutcracker. It is the oldest and most established studio in the area.

Youth Theatre of Hardin County does a production at the PAC every summer. They have winter workshops to prepare students for the auditions for each summer’s production in January, February & March. Please note students must be in the sixth grade or higher and reside in Hardin County to participate.

Drama Instruction

Carmen Caldera has over 30 years theatrical experience and holds a BA in Theatre from Transylvania University. She teaches classes specific to each student’s age (6 to adults) and experience with a focus to include improvisation, pantomime, characterization, audition preparation, theatre terminology, audience etiquette, technical theatre and theatre history. $20 an hour.
