IN REVIEW – AUGUST 2016

On August 1, more than 350 freshmen students and parents attended the John Hardin High School “Freshmen Welcome” during Open House.

On August 5, 500 6th, 7th and 8th grade students attended the Bluegrass Middle School “Start of the Year Welcome.”

On August 12, Buffalo Productions Presents: Glen Rice; Family and Friends presented their musical concert series before an audience of 350.

IMG_3668On August 15, 116 1st through 8th grade students attended audtions for Missoula Children’s Theatre’s Pinocchio. 65 students were cast representing 15 Hardin County Middle and Elementary Schools, three Elizabethtown Independent Schools and one Fort Knox School, as well as St. James Regional Catholic School, North Hardin Christian School and home schools.

On August 19 and 20, 570 students and teachers attended the school time performance of Missoula Children’s Theatre’s Pinocchio. Nearly 600 patrons attended the Friday evening and Saturday afternoon public performances.

Bart assists the MCT TADs with their audition process each August along with the rest of the PAC staff and volunteers.

If you haven’t yet checked out our new website, there’s no time like the present. One click and you’re on your way…. Online ticket sales have begun and they are going fast – particularly for our fall musical Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

But before we all dive under the sea, we’ll be visited by our friends Missoula Children’s Theatre and their production of Pinocchio. MCT has been visiting the PAC since 2004. Throughout its 40 year existence, the Missoula Children’s Theatre International Tour has fostered developmental life skills in more than a million kids. Just this year, they will work with 65,000 children in more than 1,200 communities in all 50 states and 17 countries.

Holden Wiggins – August PAC Kid Spotlight

The PAC Kid Spotlight shines this month on JHHS graduate Holden Wiggins. Holden has been onstage at the PAC in several productions and behind the scenes his senior year as a PAC Aide. He is spending this summer once again performing at the Stephen Foster Amphitheater in Bardstown and in the fall will be attending Northern Kentucky University.

The magic of MARY POPPINS comes to life during the 2016 summer production by Youth Theatre of Hardin County

The magic of Mary Poppins comes to life during the 2016 summer production by Youth Theatre of Hardin County.

On July 8-10 & 14-16 49 area youth members of  Youth Theatre of Hardin County under the direction of the Aaron Taylor presented six performances of Mary Poppins before audiences totaling nearly 2400.

On July 11 and 12th The PAC held auditions for its ProAm Fall Musical Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Spring Classical The Elephant Man. 50 adults and 37 students auditioned.
