IN REVIEW – MARCH 2020

 

On March 6, 7,    32 students in the cast and crew of Central Hardin High School Drama Club under the direction of Sarah Dakin presented  LITTLE WOMEN before School Day student audience of 300 and public audiences totaling 300. 

On  March 9,  125 students in East Hardin Middle School 7th & 8th grade bands under the direction of Matt Baucum presented a concert before an audience of 330.

On March 10, 125 students in Central Hardin High School Bands under the direction of Trevor Ervin presented a pre- assessment band concert before an audience of 313

The March 12th West Hardin Middle School Pre-assessment Band Concert was canceled by  director Laura Floyd prior to the COVID 19 closures.

The March 14th Youth Theatre of Hardin County Winter Workshop was canceled due to COVID 19. 32 HCS and 10 Non HCS students were expected to attend

The March 15th Heartland Winds Concert was CANCELLED DUE TO COVID 19. An estimated 62 adult musicians and 200 audience members were expected to participate.

On March 17-20, Allegro Dance Theatre was unable to present 8 school day performances and 2 public performances of FROZEN, JR. DUE TO COVID 19. 23 HCS students and 27 Non HCS students were to participate and the expected attendance was 4800 students and 1200 public audience members.

On March 19, the PAC encouraged their patrons to order take out from Mark’s Feed Store in honor of the PAC’s usual “Thirdsday” in a show of support for local businesses during this extraordinary time of social distancing for COVID 19.

The March 23, 24, 25 KMEA Concert Band Assessment Festival was CANCELLED DUE TO COVID 19. 2100 band students from area county schools were expected to participate with 1100 audience members in attendance.

The March 27th PAC season presentation of Kentucky Shakespeare’s HAMLET was CANCELLED DUE TO COVID 19. A student audience of 500 and public audience of 250 was expected to attend.

Total Served In March: 582 HCS Students, 7 Adults and 943 Public Audience Members.

Estimate of loss for those events AFFECTED BY COVID 19 School/PAC Closure in March: 7,592 Students, 89 Adults and 2,750 Audience members.
